The Josefina Cruz Gutiérrez Memorial Endowed Scholarship honors Dr. Colón-Mollfulleda’s mother, Josefina, by carrying forward her spirit of generosity through future nurses. Created in collaboration with Georgia Southern University’s Waters College of Health Professions, this endowed scholarship is both a lasting tribute to a remarkably giving person and a meaningful investment in nursing students who will serve patients, families, and communities—including those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia—with knowledge, skill, and compassion.
